Kye is originally from Austin Texas and grew up bass fishing Lake Austin and waterways throughout central Texas.
Kye picked up fly fishing while in Colorado in his junior year of highschool and took it back to Texas with him. When the time came, University of Colorado, Boulder was the place to be. Kye attended CU Boulder from 2015 to 2019, during that time he spent the summers guiding for Sunrise Anglers, developing a knowledge and passion for the local coldwater fisheries. When Kye graduated in 2019 with a Civil Engineering Degree, he went to work for Otak as a water resources designer, continuing his passion for coldwater fisheries and waterways throughout Colorado.
