October Chapter Meeting: BCL Update & Yellowstone Study
October 3 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Our first Chapter Meeting of the fall will be jam packed!
First up we will have David Oonk from the CIRES program at the University of Colorado Boulder giving an overview and current updates on the Backcountry Limnology project. The Boulder Flycasters helped out this summer gathering data on a few of our local Alpine lakes and a recap of the work done over the last few months will also be presented. If you’re interested in a little backcountry adventure, this is one of the best places to start!
Finally, Paul Bunker of the West Denver Trout Unlimited Chapter will bring our group up to speed on the Yellowstone National Park Volunteer Fly Fishing Program. If you’re at all interested in volunteer work in the form of fly fishing Yellowstone National Park, look no further. Paul will discuss some of the opportunities that exist in 2019 and how to get involved. Check out this article from the National Park Service for more details on the project.
As always, the first 5 to arrive will get a BOGO beer coupon courtesy of Upslope. We’ll see you there!
