Rogers Park Project

Call for Volunteers

In-stream work has been completed. It is now time to plant native shrubs and grasses along the banks to restore vegetation along the banks of Middle Boulder Creek to prevent erosion and stabilize the banks. This work will occur at the Boulder County Open Space area known as Rogers Park which is approximately 8 miles west of Boulder on Highway 119.

Boulder Creek

Enhanced section of Middle Boulder Creek with stabilized banks to prevent erosion and pools to improve aquatic habitat.

Weather permitting, work will occur on Saturday, July 18 from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Because of limited parking at the project site, transportation will be provided to all volunteers from a central meeting site. Lunch and tools will be provided.

We need all types of volunteers, from those who can do light work, to those able to handle picks and shovels. Volunteers should be at least 12 years old, with permission of parents. All volunteers must register by July 10 by contacting Dave Clark at flyfishermandmc@comcast.net or phone: 303-443-2396 to ensure that we have sufficient tools, food, and transportation for everyone. Detailed information regarding the logistics of the work day will be sent to all registered volunteers.
