A. Grant Status. Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO). Michael Stein is leading writing of grant. The budget will include public area improvements that are above and beyond the stream restoration work. Will request $100K in funding. Application due on March 3. We will need as many as 30 letters of support from the community. Fish America Foundation. Due in April. Will discuss at later meeting
B. Boulder Creek Festival Activities. Some discussion of creating an art poster for sale. Roger will follow-up with Gary Ashley. No other actions discussed due to low meeting attendance.
C. Dinner Fund Raising. At Bombay Bistro, March 9. We would charge $65 a person for buffet and beer. Our net income would be $50 for each person. Maximum attendance should be 100-125 people. The restaurant has dinner-type seating for 75 people in addition to a lounge area that will hold the remaining attendees. Decision made to go forward w/Chad leading this activity.
D. Brochure for handout to Business. Chad Pettrone is leading the review and update of content. Allen Nakagawa will verify the numbers stated for revenue with the original references. The remaining content was approved.
E. Update of Statement of Work with ERC. Roger Svendsen Trail added to South side of creek to make project more appealing for GOCO funding. Allen Nakagawa and Roger Svendsen will develop document repository for the project. Roger will contact Paul Prentiss for the signed and approved SOW with ERC.
F. Review of other Fund Raising activities. Need to follow up with Bob Bush on status of Sylvan Dale Ranch outing. Need official general name of Middle Boulder Creek projects as anchor for graphics, posters, brochures, and other materials. The proposed name will be “Boulder Creek Enhancement”. Chadd Pettrone will solicit contributions from hotels along Boulder Creek : St. Jullien, Millenium Harvest House, Outlook, etc.
