| Fish'n Buddies
Picture at left... Larry, a buddy and Larry's favorite hot tub!
That has been my motto this spring. Since having knee replacement surgery this past December, I have a new lease on life, being able to fish long and hard days. I have ventured near and far since mid-March, angling in five different states for warm and cold water fish. It is only the 1st week of June and I think I have had more hours on the water this year than I did all of last year. It feels great and I hope to fish with many more of you yet this season.
One of my goals this season is to fish with more friends and BFC members than ever before. I have heard from a number of newcomers to the area and to BFC who are having a tough time finding fishing buddies. Well, here are some ideas:
•Watch the blog for Al's Buddies Night typically scheduled for the 1st Wednesday evening of the month at Dolan's Restaurant. I promise we will arrange at least one local evening or day trip at each of the future buddy nights.
•Watch for future BFC Club Trip announcements. We are working on a number of local and regional trips yet this season.
•Let's explore local venues not normally visited. Places I have in mind include: The inlet at Gross Reservoir, the ponds of Rock Creek, bass ponds off Garrison NW of Stanley Lake.
Anyone want to be a volunteer coordinator?
Whatever we do, I hope we get to meet each other on the water this season. Drop me a line and let's go fish!

July 24th-27th Sierra Club Water Sentinels Backpacking & Fly-fishing trip
Inner City Outings (ICO) is a Sierra Club program that provides free nature outings to children who would not otherwise have these opportunities. In Boulder, the Club takes participants backpacking, hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, camping, mountain biking, skiing, canoeing, etc.

Volunteers are needed to help mentor and guide 12-16 kids during the trip. If you interested in mentoring, please contact Shawn Bratt at Shawn.P.Bratt@seagate.com for more details.

Help for Boulder Flycasters
Support the Boulder Creek Enhancement Project When You Buy or Sell A Home (or even if you know someone who is planning to buy or sell). And save yourself hundreds of dollars in the process.
Al Permut, broker/owner of Boulder Valley Realty, will donate directly to the Rogers Park Project $50 for every referral of someone planning to buy or sell a home within the next 6 months or so.
•Al will also donate 10% of his commission from every transaction resulting from this promotion.
It's really simple. Here's how it works:
Contact Al, have a friend contact Al or get permission for Al to contact them. Be sure to mention this offer. Even if outside the Metro area or Colorado, Al can set up a referral to another well qualified Realtor. When this results in a referral fee, Al will donate 10% to the project.
