anything!!!
May 3rd General Meeting — Canada
Revisited and A New Look at Gray Reef We've got Two Programs for you Wednesday, May 3rd.
First Bob Bush will be giving a refresher that he and Paul
gave a couple years ago in Fly Fishing Southern Canada with
the latest updates from three trip's they made last summer
and fall. Paul will be in Belize and Bob will have "Free
Reign". The second presentation is from our resident
expert on Gray Reef, Al Permut. Al seems to be hitting the
"Reef" every few weeks from February on and has some
excellent pointers on where to stay, where to fish (so you
don't get the "Law" on your back) and what to bring
(clothing and gear). Both promise to be legendary
presentations!!
Also, Our Clinic starting at 6:00 pm:

| Boulder Flycaster's
Board Members 2006 by Bob Bush, BFC Vice
President
For those of you who'd like to contact the Board of
Director's for our club, and members who simply want to give
them some grief! Here's a list of the 2006 board. Since I'm
one of them, I'd start at the top when complaining about
anything.
Being the Vice President has it's advantages
as "know one" really cares who's Vice President, right?? But
the President, we'll, that another story!!

CTU Spring Rendezvous
Returning
home after an intense few days at the Spring Rendezvous in
Redstone (on the Crystal River), our President has some
reflections on the CTU event. You'll find out about the awards
received by members of the Boulder Fly Casters. Last, he talks
about a scary new 2006 initiative designed to gut all
environmental legislation in the State of Colorado!

| Trout Tunes
Rob
Zwolfer has some music perspectives to give you when traveling
to that favorite spot. He's written something that I'll bet
you haven't thought about, at least, consciously ever, while
motoring anywhere, least of all on a road trip to fling a fly.
Click on the link below, I think you get a "charge" out of it!

Save The Date, BFC Summer Trip
by Al Permut (BFC Board Member)
BFC Schedules Summer Fishing
Trip
While we are locked in the grips of warm and
windy winter months, it's time to start planning fishing
outings for the BFC members, guests and anyone interested
in joining a bunch of half crazy fishing nuts. I've
received some feedback that more people would participate if
we gave better advanced notice for our trips, and if the
trips were simple 1 day affairs close to home. I would
like to encourage folks of all skill levels to join us. To
read more about the trips available, click below for all
the details.

| Benefit For St.
Vrain River by Paul Prentiss
Up the road some 17 miles one finds the rejunivited St
Vrain Chapter. They are having a "Benefit" May 6th, for their
ambitious project along the St. Vrain River from Lyons to
Longmont. It about 7 miles long and follows the stream nearly
all the way paralleling the river. It's an amazing undertaking
and we wish them well

| We Need More
Volunteers for May 6th Boulder Creek Cleanup!
We are doing a Spring Cleanup on Middle Boulder Creek,
May 6th, within the city limits. We need more volunteers to
help us clean trash from within the stream bed. It's an area
that most cleanup's don't bother with as they don't have
volunteers equipped to handle wading. That's what we do
best, right!!!

| Noon to Five Fly
Shop
Wally
Allen's Ligas, Noon to Five Fly Shop is now opened at their
new location at 2709 Spruce Street in Boulder.
Our
forte is trout flies. Our flies are priced at $1.10 and come
from the same factories that supply a lot of the Front Range
fly shops. Because of the volume we do in fly sales we are
direct to the factories and bypass the fly wholesalers and
sales representatives.
