Work Day at Memorial Park - 4/23/05

I wanted to thank our volunteers, Ardele Anderson, Dave Clark, John Frontczak, Mike Malec, Al Permut and Roger Svendsen, for their efforts on Saturday, April 23 rd, 2005.   We started the day by doing some spring cleaning and native grass seeding at the Memorial Park site.   We then cleaned our entire adopted section of Boulder Canyon, both the highway and the river.   We filled 27 of the orange CDOT bags which equals 891 gallons of trash kept out of Boulder Creek.   It was a long day of manual labor, but everyone was satisfied at the end of the day with the progress that was made.   Hopefully the native seed mix we put down will absorb all of the rain we had in the days afterward and come up green soon.   Here are some pictures of the group.
