supports the auction committee in their efforts to make the auction as successful
as possible with whatever partnerships that the committee decides align with
the interests of the chapter.

NZMS update on Middle Boulder Creek from Harry Crockett DOW.
"Hi Mike,
The samples are still being analyzed so we don’t have snail density
estimates yet. These will be the first quantitative density estimates I am
aware of, so we won’t really know better or worse. Subjectively, densities
seemed lower to us than we expected, and certainly much more patchy. We expected
kind of a plume downstream from below 55th St; instead, there seemed to be
high density areas mixed with low density throughout the reach we sampled.
We found the highest densities (again qualitatively) downstream of 61st,
behind the LaFarge plant. Boulder Open Space has had a good undergraduate
doing presence/absence surveys all field season, and he confirms that this
is the current hotspot.
I don’t expect we’ll find much effect on fish, since the invaded area is still sufficiently localized that fish stressed by the presence of mudsnails could just leave, but the invertebrate results will be very interesting."
