Fishing
has been a way of life for me for over 50 years. I started fishing
with my Dad on his boat on the Chesapeake Bay at age five. We
fished for Hardheads (Atlantic Croaker), Sea Trout (Speckled Trout) and Rock
fish (Striped Bass). I graduated to fresh water fishing for Blue Gills,
then Largemouth Bass, during my elementary, junior and high school days.
While at college at the University of Maryland, I got my first fly rod and
began searching the foothills of the Appalachians for some trout streams.
My fly fishing began in earnest when I moved to Colorado, but I have only
gotten serious about it in the last five years. As I have fished in our wonderful
state, I appreciate how important it is to preserve the quality of the fishing
experience for all who live and visit our state. Joining Boulder Flycasters
was the next step and serving on the Board of Directors lets me help others
while learning about our great sport..
